This solution includes Kiosk & Signage Upgrade and improved enrollment, which gives customers comprehensive security and management capabilities for ChromeOS kiosk and signage devices. This offering enables customers to remotely deploy apps, control updates, and monitor the health and status of devices.
How to Enroll a Device
- Enter the enrollment screen on a new or power washed device by clicking “Enterprise enrollment” or ctrl+alt+E
- Enter credentials for a user with permission to enroll
- Click “Enroll kiosk or signage device”
- Confirm the selection
- Once successfully enrolled, click “Done”
Note: For ChromeOS version 103 or below, there is no option to enroll using the Kiosk & Signage Upgrade.
My Devices are currently on Chrome Enterprise Upgrade but I want to switch to the Kiosk & Signage Upgrade, how do I change subscriptions?
You need to wait until your current subscription expires and place a new order for Kiosk & Signage Upgrade.
After purchasing the Kiosk & Signage Upgrade, deprovision the devices and re-enroll them using the correct license. After entering credentials in the enrollment screen, select “enroll Kiosk or signage device” and confirm.
I have Kiosk & Signage Upgrade licenses. How do I enroll my devices from Chrome Enterprise Upgrade to Kiosk & Signage Upgrade?
The ChromeOS team is defining functionality for a license transfer mechanism that will provide the ability to move enrolled devices between Chrome Enterprise Upgrade and Kiosk & Signage Upgrade in the Admin console without resetting devices. A specific timeline for this feature is not yet available. If they want to proceed prior to the feature becoming available, the customer will need to deprovision and re-enroll the device on the newly purchased Edition on a device running M104+. The enrollment flow will include the option to select which license to use during enrollment. Refer to the Google Help Center articles on deprovisioning devices and enrolling devices.
